What Donzo does with your data
Last changed 2 September 2026.
The short version: the app reads the screen on your phone, keeps nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account and no server. The app has no networking code in it.
The screen
When you wake Donzo, iOS starts a screen broadcast that only Donzo receives. Donzo looks at each frame for one thing, a Reels or Shorts screen, and then throws the frame away. Frames are never saved and never leave the phone. The broadcast stops whenever the phone locks or you tap Stop.
The one exception is the Debug page inside the app, where you can turn on frame capture yourself to check what the app sees. Those pictures stay on the phone until you delete them.
Screen Time
Donzo uses Apple's Screen Time controls to close the apps you picked while it is asleep. Which apps you picked is stored by iOS on the phone in a form the app cannot read back as names. Donzo never sees your Screen Time reports.
Location (only if you turn on "Only at home")
Donzo has an optional setting that makes it work only while your phone is at home. If you turn it on, iOS tells the app on the phone whether you are inside a circle around the home point you set. The app keeps that one point and nothing else: no location is written down, no location is sent, and the app has nowhere to send it. Forget home, in the app's settings, deletes the point.
Counts
Donzo keeps counts on the phone: blocks per day, per app and per hour, minutes awake, minutes you allowed Reels. They are shown to you on the Stats page and the Home Screen widget. You can share them as a file or delete them all from the Stats page. Nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else.
Buying Donzo
Payment goes through the App Store. Apple handles your card, your name and your address; Donzo never sees them. The app learns one thing from Apple: whether Donzo was bought on this Apple ID. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings, not in the app.

If you gave us your email for the beta, we keep that one email to send you the TestFlight invite and app news. Write to the address below and we delete it. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
